My main source of income, (at the moment), is in the construction industry. It pays
well, but is hard physical work. However, twenty or so years ago, I experienced a
really weird phenomenon. I had advertised in the local paper for first class
plasterers. I had numerous replies, and told each one that if they didn’t come up to
scratch within the first couple of days they would be ‘down the road’. (You could do
that in those days).
Most backed off, and never turned up. 'However', one chap phoned me, and said
he didn’t want to talk about money.
He would work with his partner for a week, for free.
The only condition was that I allowed him to complete the week without
interference.
This put ME on my back foot, because it took the control out of my own hands. I
was tempted to say NO, but my instincts told me that he must be pretty confident
to work for FREE for a week, so I started them as soon as possible.
Needless to say, they worked extremely hard, and efficiently. Left a great job, and
an even greater impression in my mind.
(YES, I did pay them for the week, and continued to pay them for their services
whenever I required a first class job in the future).
This chap, (who I won’t name for fear of embarrassing him), made an immediate
impression with his very first sentence to me. Then continued to impress by
producing the goods as promised.

No matter what you do in life, if you
give the best of yourself, (honestly),
others respond positively towards
you. Those who don’t respond
positively, are the people you
should be VERY wary of indeed.
You may be good at something that
you really enjoy doing. Offer your
services on an open ended arrange-
ment, and you will find that MOST
people will offer you MORE than
you would probably have charged
anyway.
The fact is, people will TRUST you to do the job properly in the first place, and will
be fair with you when you produce the goods. They will recommend you to friends
and relatives, and so the story goes on, and your income grows with it.
How many people do YOU know, that trust plumbers who charge enormous call-
out fees??.
We use them out of desperation, but seldom go back unless they actually DO
leave a good honest job. (As many do, I might add).
Even then, we are loath to pay that crippling call-out charge.
When all said and done, it is a rip-off which market forces allow them to get away
with.
Yes, I know there are ‘professional customers’ out there who will rob you blind at
every opportunity. But the fact is, they are going to rob you, whether YOU are
honest and reliable or not. At least if you put THEM on the back foot by being ‘too
good to be true’ you stand more chance of being paid.
Even professional customers are human, and can’t always help themselves
responding accordingly to positive actions.

Another example of POSITIVE actions bringing rewards;
I recently set up a website offering
the general public within a 20 mile
or so radius of where I live, FREE
information of WHERE they could
find trustworthy, reliable, competent
trades people.
(A rare commodity these days).
ALL of the trades listed, are either
KNOWN to me personally, and have
been invited by ME to appear on the
site with their OWN allocated web
page, and an unlimited amount of
information about themselves.
(Hosted on my own domain of course).
OR, they are trades recommended by my 'personally invited associates' to be
included.
(None are included through friendship I might add). ALL are included on MERIT
alone.
I have FRIENDS who I won’t invite because I know they have failings.
This service is FREE to the customer, and FREE to all the advertisers.
I include the web-address (URL) in all my advertising, so everyone else benefits
from MY advertising and it’s a win-win situation for ALL.
I am MORE than happy that NONE of the trades will let ME or the CUSTOMER
down. Will give great service, and will be recommended to friends/relatives along
the way.
(Taking the reputation of the web-site along with them).
OK, so what’s in it for me you ask??
Well, for starters, people can see that the site is ETHICAL, HELPFUL and NOT
out to rip anyone off, (or just refer ANY Tom, Dick or Harry).
This equates to TRUST! Trust in ME, and trust in the trades they will be
considering.
Since launching the site, I have had a steady stream of NEW customers
requesting me to quote for their work. So much so, that I have had to refer many
back to the other trades in the same category.
I also generally get paid MORE than my original quote, as people DO react
positively to a really GOOD reliable service at a sensible price.
(So I make MORE money by default as it were).
I also get calls of thanks from the other trades-people when THEY get more work
from the site.
PLUS! I generally get THEIR work, should they need my skills along the way.
I’m sure you’d agree my rewards are many, and worth the effort I put in myself.

If you can TRUST a business, you are most likely to
use their services in the future.
If you can offer a FREE TASTER for whatever job,
service, business you feel you could enjoy doing,
success will grow as if by magic. Not only will you
benefit financially, but you will benefit personally
because you will be enjoying what you are doing,
and sleeping with a clean conscience.

A simple statement.......But who
decreed that life was complicated
and should be hard?
Hopefully, you now know what it
takes to grow your ‘money trees’,
and you have a good idea of how you’re going to do this. If not, there are
numerous ‘home business opportunity’ magazines out there. Both ‘hard copy’
and ‘E-copy’.
All you need to do, is to request an introductory copy from any of the main players,
and you will be offered many more. Either within the pages of those magazines, or
because you will have been placed on a mailing list that shows your interest.
Virtually all offers will come free.
Take them up if they are to do with your field of interest.
Warning! You can have too much of a good thing.
Information overload will DRAIN all your positive energy from you.
